Everywhere and anywhere. Depends on what subjects capture your interest. You can take pictures of people almost anywhere. Architecture as well, from the skyscrapers of midtown to the quaint homes on Barrow Street in the Village. There are plenty of bridges to take pictures of if that interests you, and also plenty of water shots you can take of the Hudson River, the East River, Harlem River, etc.

And, that's just the 5 boroughs. There is Long Island, Westchester and all of upstate NY. You can take pictures of forests, beaches, animals, plants, rock formations (such as in the Shawangunks), water falls (ie. Niagara Falls).

It all depends on what you like taking pictures of.

If you're referring to New York STATE, I'd include Niagara Falls in there.

If youre here now make sure you get a few of the tree in rockefeller center.
