Try your local Craigslist.com, Ebay and loical thrift stores. You may really need to searhc but I am sure you will find somethign.
There are also lots of online sites for discount bridal gowns, the downside is you don't get to see it or try it on.
So what you do is make an appointment at a local bridal store, get measured and try a few dresses on, find one that you like and then hunt it down online for a discount. All the online sites list the measurements, the est thing is to buy it a little big so that you can have it altered to fit. Take it to a local seamstress/tailor shop and you will save money over the bridal shops.
You can even find designer dresses at a discount, but it may take a lot of leg work on your part, but if you are determined you will find the perfect dress!
Good luck!

Depends on where you are. Around here, David's Bridal. Also depends on when you're getting married. One good bet is to look at prom dresses - there are always white ones and a lot of them actually are as nice as wedding gowns. Be careful with bridal shops: the dresses may be cheap but they could charge a ton for alterations. Log on to theknot.com. You can search for dresses by style and price and find local stores.

I would definitely suggest David's Bridal to you. I'm a size 24, and found it EXTREMELY difficult to find a dress in my size. I walked in (after making an appointment with them), and explained the style I wanted, and that I wanted color on my dress. The women didn't even hesitate to help me, answer my questions...
I went during their big semi-annual sale, and got my dress for around $300, with shoes and veil added into that as well. I loved it - corset-style back, sleeveless, all with sage-green trim. I also preffered David's Bridal because it's so easy to match wedding colors. I was able to continue the 'peridot' green theme through everything - the bridesmaids, the flowergirls (even the petals for the basket!), and the tuxedos at their Afterhours store. They have tons of colors to pick from as well.
Definitely try there.

try ebay, I bought my dress which was a plus size for $200 there were TONS on there!
but David's bridal is another good place to start. I'd go there and get fitted see about which dress looks the best on you for you to get an idea then go from there!
Attached the dress I got, granted I don't look as fab as that girl but the dress was nice!
Good luck!!

Hi there. It depends on how formal you want the dress to be. Less formal dresses tend to cost a lot less than fussy formal gowns. Try http://www.beachwedding-guide.com/fullfigure.html for some stunning infomal wedding dresses for a fuller figure.
