Question about women for guys in 35-50 age range ?

Do you always fall for the more beautiful woman? My friend and I (both 40-ish) have joined a singles group, and she is really beautiful (not in a cheap, made up way, but in a natural way) and I'm more the cute, funny girl-next-door. I know she'll get all the attention at first, but do I at least stand a chance in the long run? I keep telling myself that I preferred Anthony Edwards over George Clooney on E.R., but I know looks are more important to guys. Give it to me straight...I can take it, and I want to be prepared.

Thanks for the offer pogiguy, but I'm mostly looking for a general answer. I understand what you say about "case by case basis"....that is totally reasonable and the same would be true for me with men too.

for me it is a case by case basis. I would have no problem dating a HOMELY woman if she was cute. It is more than just looks really when you think of spending your life with someone.I am sure you will find someone eventually just never give up that hope. IF you want my HONEST opinion post a pic and I am sure you will get some honest answers especially from me. OH and the pic should be full body and maybe a couple. You know a guy needs to see everything in the package really.

I suppose it depends on the guy. Everyone has different tastes and different likes. Your friend may get more attention to start with but unless you look like the wicked witch of the west you'll get your fair share too. To me looks are far less important than the type of person you are. Personally I like the cute funny girl next door.

while a little out of the range (54) i can say that looks have never been the main (or an important) criteria for the ladies i have met using online chat rooms --- its more about personality as generally i could not access their pictures anyway ---- best wishes
