Please, no lecturing, I know I've done a horrible thing, I didn't request my money back right away. Now, finally, in Dec of 07 I have finished my return. I had an accountant that jacked me around, henceforth I started doing it myself. I have w-2 income, 1099s, and business, so it takes forever! Now, that I'm finally done, if I send this in, will I still get my money back?
Thank you!

Nothing is sleazy about it, it just takes forever to figure out how to do every single thing correctly.

You'll get your money - you have 3 years to file after the the deadline and still get your refund. It will take awhile though - probably 6 to 8 weeks, and could be longer if anything about it looks funny.

Once IRS receives your income tax return, it takes 6-12 weeks to process the tax return. so anywhere from 6-12 weeks you should be receiving your refund.

If you owe no money then do not worry. If they owe you money then they had your money a little longer. Hopefully, you hired a new accountant.
