Cortizone injections take up to a week to work fully and they give their best relief at 2-4 weeks post injection. It is not an immediate fix.

I had cortisone injected in the two my knees July of '06. each and every thing else I had tried failed, prednisone, discomfort killers, and actual therapy. The discomfort became into damaging, some days i could no longer walk, much less sit down with out crying. i did no longer choose the cortisone, yet became into my final decision. My techniques, do no longer watch as they do it, that's kinda frightening. As for the discomfort, it is going to start to recede in some days. With in a week, you may desire to be just about good as new! They advised me it may only final approximately 6 months, yet right here i'm a year and a nil.5 later, and nevertheless going tremendously stable. that's commencing as much as harm lower back some, on days I over do it, yet for the main section, i'm doing tremendously good! i won't be able to think of what it may be like if I hadn't completed it.

It should have started working right away, you need to go back and get checked over again. If this happened on the job you can still file for Workman's comp.
