"We, the member congregations of the Unitarian Universalist Association, covenant to affirm and promote:

The inherent worth and dignity of every person;
Justice, equity and compassion in human relations;
Acceptance of one another and encouragement to spiritual growth in our congregations;
A free and responsible search for truth and meaning;
The right of conscience and the use of the democratic process within our congregations and in society at large;
The goal of world community with peace, liberty and justice for all;
Respect for the interdependent web of all existence of which we are a part."

The Unitarian Church is a church that accepts and teaches any and all religions. They use the common basics, do unto others, etc, but Buddhists can go, Christians, Muslims, anyone can be a member and be welcomed and loved by the congregation.

They seem to exist to not offend. You will find nothing certain with Unitarians. In that respect they reflect reality well. They are extremely liberal and active in many somewhat political issues. They also are amongst the richest congregations and give the least.

Their most basic belief is that Jesus is not God.

So the reject the trinity, which is the major difference between them and other Christian sects.

EDIT: Some didn't like my answer, but that is because they are confusing the "universalism" part that most modern Unitarians now adopt. It is a very liberal theology, but make no mistake, the "unitarian" part of their church (and those that have proceeded it) are based primarily on rejection of the trinity.

We believe that all people have inherent worth and dignity, and that all paths to God are valid. We encourage searching for the truth and are (obviously) not bible based (although we don't discount the good teachings of Jesus). We believe in helping our fellow man and in making the world a better place for all of humanity.

It is all OK. Bring whatever belief or life style that you believe in and enjoy.

They basically welcome all beliefs.

Their main message is to promote tolerance.

You're welcome to believe in God, no god, many gods or whatever, you're also welcome to believe that Jesus is your lord and savior or that he was merely a prophet. You're welcome to take the Bible completely literally, but you're also welcome to take it completely fictionally. Same for all other religious texts, I believe.

It's a nice religion, but there's not very much structure to it. If that's your thing, all the more power to you.
