Has any one else out there got one as a change of life right(I guess you would call it that)

Haha, well I wouldn't call 47 old, but I love it when older women get tattoos.
It's such a freeing experience, and it's awesome to see that someone older is willing to get into that.

Go for it.

I turn 40 tomorrow so I don't consider 47 old. I got my first tattoo at 38.
I think getting tattoos at a more "mature" time of life is the perfect time to get them.

Omg, is that too old for a tattoo??? I've tattooed ladies up to the age of 85. Lol... No. You're not old.

Some women that come into the shop tell me that they get told by friends that they're too old to get a tattoo. To which I reply that you're never too old. I mean, what happens when you get a tattoo at 18... you're never going to be 45? 65? 80? So how old is too old for a tattoo? :)

You only live once. Live it up. :D

You're never too old for ink!! :) Tattoos have been known to give people a new sense of youth :)

Just make sure it is well thought out and take great care of it.

EXCUSE ME -- I am 48 and far from an "old lady"

In fact, I have 27 tattoos and they look better than some I have seen on a 20 year old.

I saw a 70 year old woman on tv get her first tattoo. It's never too late to do what you want in life.

I think it's awesome. One of the girls I work with is 52 (give or take a few years) and she just got her first tattoo a few months ago. She loves it and wants more.

I say go for it. Depends on how big and where it is though. My wife is 50 and is going to get one. It's going to be small like a butterfly and in place where she can see it but have it covered at work where it wouldn't be acceptable.

I am 43 and I have 5, I am getting more. Its what I want, and its my body. Obviously I think there is nothing wrong with it. I don't get them because I think they are cute. I get them because Ilike them and they have significance to me. To hell with what others thing!!!

My wife got a tattoo for her 53rd birthday.

Go for it, just don't go overboard.

BTW, I got a tattoo at 51.
