below are a few things I do, I have lost 85 lbs over 5 months, being as I still have over 50 lbs to lose
some of the suggests may be to hard core
keep an online food diary www.myfooddiary.com is a very popular one, I have been doing the food diary for over 5 months and the shock of the little things you eat is incredible -- making yourself accountable for everything you put in your mouth helps, along with weight tracking you can see trends & work to correct the flaws
breakfast protein powder w/ milk or protein shake
lunch small salad - either cobb, club etc....
dinner protein powder w/ milk or protein shake
the snacks I do are sugar free jello or sugar free pudding ( the jello is actually lower in calories & fat, so try to stick to it for a snack)
2-3 cups of coffee/tea are ok, no pop not even diet pop - lately studies have been showing that artificial sugars are making it hard for our bodies to shed those extra pounds
the fluffy/coffee's add alot of unwanted calories to your daily diet -- cutting those out alone will help tremendously
my absolute no-no’s are NO bread, Nothing with flour (any variety of flour), Nothing carbonated, obviously No candy or junk food of any kind, & No skipping a meal even if it is a very small meal, eating 3 – 4 times a day is very important when reducing intake & trying to loose weight
4+ 16 oz bottles of water (at least) -- drinking lots of water is very important to weight loss
calcium, vitamin C B12 E, multi-vitamin, fiber -------- these supplements are very important as you are cutting back your normal food intake, they will help you keep your energy level up
exercise 45 - 60 minutes a day, or at least 3 times a week
helpful side note --- remove ALL temptation clean your house of all junk food, candy, heavy carb foods - basically anything you should not eat, should not be in your reach -- clean out your office space as well, avoid the office areas which usually contain the fatty/junk foods
yes these are hard things to do, but if you want to meet your goal it will be well worth it
the best website forum for support during weight loss I have found is: www.obesityhelp.com everyone is in the same boat & there with tips and help

I lost weight several years ago, going from an 18 to a 10 or a 12. I did it by cutting my food portions in half. I was too overweight to exercise. I have maintained my weight loss for five years by watching how much I eat and by exercising when I can, which is usually two or three times a week. I am naturally a little overweight and I am naturally a little lazy about exercising, so this is a lifelong battle for me. I don't believe in diets and I don't believe in being a workout freak either. I believe in being moderate, healthy and enjoying my life, and that's how I try to live.
Whenever I notice I am eating too much and/or gaining a little weight, I cut my portions down a little and make it a point to exercise three or four times a week instead of my usual two or three. I don't believe in scales, so I don't weigh myself, and I shut my eyes at the doctor's office when they weigh me.
Mind you, I am still a little overweight, but I am happy and comfortable with myself. This to me is way better than diets, exercise programs and being a slave to the scale.
I vary my workouts. I walk, lift weights, climb the stairs, use a medicine ball, use workout videos, and lastly a little Pilates. This keeps me from being bored, and I do all this at home, which is cheaper than the gym. That's another thing I'm against: The diet and weight loss industry. I think it's a scam, and people are only guaranteed to lose money. I think losing weight should save you money because you're not eating as much.
This is what worked for me because it suits my lifestyle and my personality, but it may not work for you. I just hope that you don't get too critical and judgmental with yourself, and I wish you the best of luck on your journey to health.
Feel free to email me anytime if you need a little encouragement. God knows I've been there.

Getting a personal trainer can help get you started. They'll be able to assess your strengths and weaknesses and make a plan that'll fit your needs (this should include your meal plans as well). But they may be expensive. If you're already a member of a fitness club then take advantage of their group programs (cycling, pilates, etc.). If you like doing things solo...Put together a compilation of your favourite songs that you can work out to. Jogging, taebo, yoga, weight training can all be done on your own with your favourite songs and listening to your own preferred music helps makes things a bit easier. Find something that works for you if not, you'll get bored and frustrated and end up not wanting to do anything.

Eat an early, good (not a huge bowl of cereal, but have right kind) breakfast, with protein and fruit to set your metabolism to a high level; that will use all your food up. This sets' the blood sugar point, so that you won't be hungry ALL day (when you are ready for lunch, it means' you used your food right in the body by starting out with early breakfast).
No sugar, no white bread.
If eat pasta, at whole wheat pasta, and only 1/2 cup at that. Brown rice not white only.
Walk two miles a day, on a nice scenic route.
No snacks in between meals, and eat vegetables and fruit first, and up to ten types per day.
Eat only two servings of high quality protein, like eggs (one), beans (1/4 C), peanut butter (2 tsp.) and lean meats 2-3 ounces each.
Follow or eat meals with water.- no juice or drinks with calories or cream.
Two teaspoons of fat per day
Diet stuff makes' you have an appetite!!!
Drink milk, no cheeses except 1 domino size of hard type once a day-
low -sugar yogurt at night if hungry.
Eat one less piece of bread per day for a week, and you will lose a pound per week. Unless your activity is really low.
It is unhealthy to lose more than two pounds per week.
*** Resting the proper amount will help you stay slim.
Don't eat late, unless one and a half hours before bedtime.

remember, your body doesnt just get fat, its what you do to your body to make it fat.
To loose this weight, it will require lots of self determination. Dont give up, when you see that donut on the counter, think to yourself, "do i want to taste something delicious for a few minutes, or look great and feel good about myself for life"
Whats more important, you decide.
1. Dont join a gym unless you are very close, a 30 min car ride to and back from the gym will make your work out uneffective.
2. If you have kids, play with them, sports, running, situps, pushups, you are allowed to stop until your kids stop.
--Kids always have energy.
3. dont eat anything different, dont starve yourself, and dont restrict any food, including sweets. This will only make the desire stronger. Just STOP EATING WHEN YOUR STOMACH BEGINS TO FEEL COMFORTABLE. AND MAYBE EAT DESERT IN SMALL PORTIONS EVERY OTHER NIGHT.
4. You know when you are getting a good hard workout, there is no easy way around it, so stop wasting time on easy, painless 10 min workouts. If you want to loose weight, go hard and strong until you KNOW that you have gotten a good workout.
5. GOOD LUCK, I KNOW YOU CAN DO IT! IF YOU REALLY WANT IT.

ok if ur one of those people that find it hard to really stick to a diet and work out plan i suggest this:
first month eat less, plz dnt starve urself u might actually gain more weight wen u starve. just eat less than u usually do.
if u wanna work out try ur best to find a friend that would work out with u, if ur with ur friend u'll hav more fun and actually forget that ur exercising.
the second month u'll realise that ur appetite is getting smaller, now try to have well balanced meals.
hopefully the exercising will become routine for u and u dont mind it nemore, plus even after u lose the weight try not to stop exercising ..its a really good healthy lifestyle

Do fun sports or walk with friends. Working out can be fun, trust me. For a diet i would just stop eating fast food cold turkey. I mean, fast food is plain nasty!!!! Especially Mc Donald's. I don't even want to go there. If that is to hard for you could try only eating out once a week and limit what you eat. Maybe, order a salad, WITHOUT RANCH. RANCH+= FAT

Check out My Fitness Pal (link below).
I just came across it the other day and it looks like it may be just what you're looking for.
As far as eating, eat healthy foods including fruit and vegetables. Try to stay away from processed foods and foods that are high in fat and calories. Don't snack between meals and eat small portions.

hmmm..if you can't afford to go to a gym then you are going to have to have a strong WILL POWER. you can do it by yourself at home but it will take all the will power you have to commit to it everyday or every 2 days or 3 days a week. just try to stop eating the food you know that is not good for you. start out doing small steps and then increase as you go. look online for some workout programs and just start from there or you can turn you tv to ON DEMAND and do the exercise they have on there. GOOD LUCK.

Try to detox yourself and start eating healthy foods such as vegetables and fruits, don't eat too much rice or white bread they are not the source of absorbent carbohydrates and too high in sugar when digested and converted in so, diabetics are also given the advice not to eat much of it. Instead, try to eat brown or root crops and the most is you must do exercise then, you can get the best result.
