nicely i might say, one your staying at a Marriott considering which you're stealing the gideon bible, lol. 2 that's a mormon bible. 3 that's only a sin in case you have faith and carry on with that faith. If I even have an abortion, which could be confusing considering that i'm a dude, am I held to blame in yet another u . s . a . provided that's a offender offense there. No. I do agree that that's wierd. the full objective of christianity is to transform human beings to this faith. to coach human beings the strategies of jesus and a fashion for them to get into there heaven. so which you may think of they might hand available be attentive to god at each and every highway corner. Why do not they, the money. If we provide stuff away for unfastened, we can't have money to place the recent granite flooring interior the vatican, or Jerry Faulwell desires yet another billion. no, it is not. those bibles are not the property of the hotel or motel or resort - they are a gift from the Gideons. hotels have ample supplies, not like they used to keep on hand but they can always get them and are free. in marriott hotels there is also generally a book of mormon and can also be taken without being considered stealing. it's their way of spreading God's word.

Yes, dont you remember that's one of the commandments? Thou shalt not steal? That means don't steal ANYTHING. You can buy a Bible for like 5 bucks.

i personally think it's not a sin because all those bibles in the motel rooms just stay in the drawers and just collect just. it would be better for someone to just take it and actually get something out of it, because the bible is a great book.

I think it would be a matter of personal integrity to NOT take the bible. It was placed there for use by travelers. Maybe someone who occupies the room after you will really need to read it, or be uplifted by it.

I think they are placed there with the intent of someone taking one who wants one, so I would say no. If in doubt,

That being said, there are almost without exception the KJV, which is a really bad translation. It's worth the 10 bucks to get a decent copy, if interested.

I think you need to turn to Exodus to find your answer. In case you don't know, I think that is the book where the 10 commandments are located and it says, "Thou shall not (I repeat not) steal.
