Put it a different way - if you're just a little buzzed, you may be over the 0.08 % limit that makes you legal for driving. I'd guess twice that would make you pretty squishy in the head, but people vary.

There is no specific BAC cut-off point of tipsy to drunk. Rather the legal driving BAC is .08. The amount of muscle mass a person has and food content in there stomach will determine how fast one gets drunk. I would say 3-4 drinks= tipsy and 7+ drinks= drunk. A drink equals either 1 shot, 1 beer, or 1 glass of wine.
