Okay so my name got drawn to bring a dessert to our employee banquet that is tomorrow night. But here is the deal I am so BROKE until payday Thursday. So I was going through the pantry and I found a betty crocker strawberry swirl cheesecake. I have all of the ingredients except the 8oz of cream cheese. Do you think that I can substitute prepared vanilla pudding???? I know it won't have that cream cheese flavor but it probably won't taste bad, will it?

I know cream cheese is not that much, but really I have $0 till payday! sad I know!
Besides I live in a VERY rural area with one grocery store, so prices are not reasonable! Cream cheese is $5.95!!

It should work; just call it a vanilla creme pie; it may not set as solid but it should taste good.

No I don't think that will work. Cream cheese store brand is about $1 go ahead!!
