NO, the PS3's controller only charges when thePS3 controller is plugged into the PS3 and when PS3 is turned on.

But when the PS3 is on standby mode, you can plug the PS3 controller into a computer's USB port while the computer is on to charge it.

Unfortunately, no. PS3 charges controllers only when it's on. You can charge controllers on your PC, though.

JUST PLUGGED MY CONTROLLER INTO PC (DELL) AND THE LIGHTS ON THE CONTROLLER ARE FLASHING..LIKE WHEN PLUGGED INTO THE PS3 AND CHARGING...LOOKS TO ME LIKE IT S CHARGING
