If it came down to it, I wouldn't want to rob someone because I wouldn't want to scare them, but I would consider stealing food.

I would first try to see if I could barter for food -- provide some kind of needed service in exchange. If I were responsible for any children, I wouldn't think twice.

As far as finding honest work -- I don't think people realize that during a Great Depression there are barely any jobs, let alone ones that are honest.

WOW- This is a hard one to answer....I've been through self inflicted hard times before, I begged, borrowed, but never stole, even @ my worst. I do have a Family to consider- and would PRAY I'd somehow get through the storm via my extended family. I'd sell most everything I had to those with money, and try my best to get a job. In the field I am in, I can only HOPE that there would still be a need for finances. It seems these days, it is a depression, yet I get by. I would hate to think of things getting much worse. I have survived many things, and with FAITH, I would want to think that I could survive again. GOOD QUESTION!

I don't believe I would, however one never knows until one is placed in a situation like that. I have thought about what would I do to obtain food if I became homeless. One of the things I had thought about is going to restaurants and asking if I could clean their bathrooms in exchange for food. Lots of people hate to clean bathrooms and I don't mind it. I think I would do my best to find some way of obtaining what I need without having to steal or rob.

If those options were not available and My child needed it, I can't say what I would do. I can't promise I wouldn't steal some food from farmland near me. I might. I don't think I would go into someone's home and ransack it or steal from a store though.

Not in my own belly, I know how to find food for myself in pretty extreme circumstances- at least enough to keep moving. If I had someone else's belly to mind, then I might, if times were bad enough.

absolutely not. I'd rather die honorably. Dying is not such a bad thing. Anyway, I'm pretty resourceful though and think I could survive and have skills and basic knowledge that a lot of people don't value in our high tech world today. I'm sure I could find work if it got all that bad.

Robbery must not be tolerated when there will be another Great Depression because the situation will be aggravated.
