My mom is leaving town tomorrow and I have so many projects coming up. My mom has a rule that states I cannot "go out" when she is out of town. I have two projects worth about half of my grade coming up and they both require going to my partners' houses.
For my photography project, I have to use her camera to shoot and to develop in the dark room at her house tomorrow, which is the only day available because she has sports almost 24/7.
For my science project, I have to do a science expo board at my friend's house and develop the experiment there. The experiment involved 10 kids taking tests and they all made plans to go to her house on Saturday for our experiment. I asked my mother politely and she responded with an irritated and angry 'no'. She said "No, and that's final! Don't ask again!" Even if it is for school.
I care deeply about my education, how do I convince her?? All of my projects are due next week!

it might be difficult but maybe try and move it all to your place?
the other thing you could do if sit down and talk with your mum, let her know you will fail school if you dont do the work, tell her she can even call your friends mum to make sure you are actually doing school work and you will be supervised. this might make her feel more secure.

Maybe if your mother can confirm you will be at these places and you do have these projects due she will feel more comfortable with you going out. For example, if she knows you are going to X's house from 10-2 on sat and Y's house from 2-4 on Sunday and has spoke to their parents as well as secured a way for you to get back and forth safely she may feel better.

Maybe you just caught her at a bad time. Wait until she has a quiet moment and isn't distracted. Then explain about these big projects, and that they require you to use facilities outside your home. Tell her you are aware of the rule, but you know your education is important to both of you and this is the only way you can complete these projects. Offer her the names and numbers of the parents of these friends, and urge her to check with them to confirm that you are there and that you are indeed studying and not goofing off.

Get your teacher(s)/Professors to call your mom and explain the projects to her and also tell her your plans. Give her a timeline when ,were, and who you will on a sheet of paper so she can take it with her. Also include the phone number of your project partner as well so she can get ahold of you whenever she wants to check up on you.

Go to your teachers and explain that your mother doesn't believe you need to do this work. Ask them to call her. Your mother is being unreasonable but it also looks like you wanted to the last minute to handle this.

Does your mom have a cell phone? Explain to her what is going on in your world and see if she will compromise..Maybe you can get the school to call her or she should call your school counselor or teacher.

Just ask her again, and this time explain to her how important this is for your grade. If that doesn't work, then you're going to have to sneak out. Lol.

Tell her that your grades depend on it and that you will keep her updated. You will call her when you leave the house, when you get to your destination, when you are leaving, and when you get back home.
