Maybe you don't want him to be disappointed / not like your voice o.O

It's probably because you're nervous that your boyfriend, who seems to know a lot about music, won't like your singing. And you might be nervous because you care a lot about what he thinks and are afraid that he's going to think you're singing badly. Maybe?

well i know when i was starting out in a relationship i was the same way...nervous, shy...and for me it was because i thought he would give me a silly look or laugh..or even make a remark..so what i did was just put on music that i liked to sing to and when ever hes around just have a good time w/ it and hopefully that will break the ice...it worked for me!

i sing too. and its prolly because u just want him to think u sound wonderful. ur thinking too much about messin up..or ur facial expressions. just know that u CAN sing and dont let him intimidate u out of ur craft. even though he isnt trying to intentionally. i get like that too. ur just a lil shy..thats all. once u sing in front of him for the 1st time, u'll c it wasnt that bad and u keep doing it. then u'll be a show off in no time. lol

You are intimidated by his major in music, he is used to more perfection than you feel you can you can live up to. it's understandable but you are afraid to disapoint him. i think if you just did it once you would get that behind you. You and him share a love of music, and you should just do it once, and you surprise yourself. He asks you because he loves you. you have noting to be afraid of, you can do a great job and lose this fear of disapointing him, you couldn't disapoint him if you tried.

You're afraid of sounding bad and thinking that he'll think that you have a bad sounding voice probably.

Just sing.

You probably sound b-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l
