You And her should take turns and both should have a time limit.Get a timer and set it for the allowed time.Mabe she will get a new one for Christmas and the problem will be solved. You did say hers was not the best one.So try to work it out fairly as you both will grow up and remember the things you did for each other.

If you think her computer is fine, then you should be willing to use it. Offer to switch computers with her.

If this computer is a shared computer, then guess what - you have to share. Ask your sister to draw up what she thinks is a fair schedule for using it - and then set a very loud timer to go off when each person's turn is over.

Hook the monitor to a remote AC switch.. when she's using the computer, cut the switch on and then off quickly, She'll think there's something wrong with the computer's monitor, and she'll eventually stop wanting to use it.

if i was ur mom, i would block the computers to allow each of u to only have 1 hr of time/day on there and when the hr is up, it logs u off. u wouldnt be able to do ANYTHING after 1 hr, no solitaire, no word processing, NOTHING.

When she says she's going to be using for 5 minutes, make note of the time (and make it obvious that you are doing that).

Plan ahead who is going to have use of it. Be fair.
