I am going to my boyfriends Aunt's house for Christmas Eve dinner, and I was wondering what is a good, small, present for the hostess? Just to be polite.

there's tons of nice variety gift baskets these days, filled with everything from fruit to flowers to candy to meat and cheese to beauty things, etc. something like that usually looks really nice and is an easy thing to pick up, or for the aunt a nice picture frame. the hostess, maybe a neat thing would be something she could use in the kitchen..

A white orchid in a nice elegant vase.
You can get her a god bag of coffe + syrup at Starbucks, the Mint syrup goes good with hot chocolate or Coffe, and great for the season.

Depends on her likes, a Christmas cactus is nice, flowers, a bottle of wine, home made treats on a Christmas plate she can keep.........find out what she eats, drinks, likes and go from there.

usual gifts under such circumstances would be flowers or a bottle of wine. however, not everyone values flowers( i know i don't) and wine ends up being drunk my everyone else and she might be lucky to get a sip. i would say a nice, not so expensive bottle of perfume- something she can remember u by cos I'm guessing u would like to make a good impression right ? go for a scent that's not to strong, too sweet or too floral so she would be sure to like it. maybe a small bottle of pleasures by estee lauder or light blue by d&g.

A nice box of Chocolates so everyone can enjoy one.Or if she likes plants a Christmas Cactus as they have different colors and are really pretty when they bloom year after year.
