ohh well that really sux! well i have had braces for a couple months, and at first, it doesnt really hurt, it just feels wierd. but after, it starts to hurt a little bc your teeth feel weak from the glue. and it hurts wen you eat mostly. but after a couple days, it doesnt hurt. just the pulling out the molars might hurt.. thats wat they had to do for me bc my jaw was so small. but after they numb it, it wont hurt THAT much but, well u no how you ddrink something cold and your teeth hurt, it kinda feels like that for a little bit. goode luckc and the best part of braces are that you get to choose your avorite colors and they straighten your teeth!!

hang in there<33

I had to have exactly the same thing done I.e. two molars pulled out too which were fine, but apparently had no baby teeth underneath and I was like 15.

Pulling out the teeth didn't hurt but feels mega weird, which you might expect, and I don't think the gaps hurt much you just have to eat real soft stuff for a few days then you can eat crisps sideways if you like! For a day or so after having the teeth out you musn't do any excersise or anything that requires a lot of effort physically because blood pressure can cause the wound to bleed.

Braces didn't hurt when they were putting them in, its just moving teeth around makes them weak and it is painful to eat for about a week after the treatment, and wires ends at the back of your mouth can cause ulcers, which are a common occurence when you wear braces from chafing. If I could I would go back and just not have them, the pain and the way they muffle speech just isn't worth it!

Having the teeth out is no problem at all. (I had to have 4 out for mine.)
As for the braces, yes they hurt but it's not as bad as it sounds. It's a kind of ache for a bit once they've been put on until your teeth get used to it and then each time it gets tightened. After a couple of times I just kind of got used to it. Don't forget that everyone is different too, some may have more sensitive teeth or lower pain threshold, you might not have any pain and wonder what the fuss was about!

For me it was so worth it, my teeth were horrible and I'm so glad I had it done.

(Just realised that I assumed you meant fixed ones, for the removable kind it isn't so bad. Just a bit achey when it's first fitted. I have had both!)

AAAAAAWWWWWW!!!

=( You're so lucky!

I had 4 molars taken out in hospital! They put me to sleep and everything! No pain though...

And braces! Omg! <3
Might sound weird, but i fell in love with mine.
They're really cute, and you get loads of attention! ha ha

Just be confident in them, and show everyone that you're not ashamed. This'll help you love them like i loved mine.

And the pain...
ok when you first get them on it feels like your whole chin is moving backwards! Not painful, just weird.
Every few weeks you'll go to get them tightened (and you get to choose pretty colours. =] )
I'll admit, it does hurt. Just slightly.
You can test it right now, just push your 2 upper front teeth back really hard for a few seconds, let go and you'll see its a bit painful to touch.

But heres a tip: Drink hot chocolate straight after and it helps to eat something quite soft aswell. This helps your gums relax, and i promise you the pain will be 10 times less.

Sometimes when you wake up, your cheeks will be stuck in your braces! Don't panic! Just pull them out gently.
And at other times (this is the worst) the metal bits will also go in your cheeks and they'll make painful holes.

Thankfully, theres a solution =D
Use mouthwash (non alcohol one) and theres these bits of wax you can get, to cover the sharp metal bits.
Genius.

I miss mine so much... ='(

OH one more thing. (lol sorry bout the long essay)
When you get them off, you might get retainers afterwards.
When you wear them at night, use chap stick or some sort of lip softening majig. Coz when you try to take them out your lips will get cuts in them if they're not moist.

WOW. hope that helped!
And remember, LOVE THEM and they'll love you.
=] Gooood luck!!

Um, no they don't. I just got my braces off like last month actually. Like, they'll be sore the next day and maybe the next because of all the tightening they do, but it doesn't hurt, like, right on the spot while their putting them on. Getting them off, same thing. Make sure when you have them that you don't eat, like, hubba bubba gum. you can use anything else, just not REAL actual chewing gum. I can't help you with the pulling department, for it's never happened to me. But good Luck, and trust me, you'll be sooo happy to see what they do when it's all over!

Getting the teethremoved sucks and it doesnt hurt just feels weird ive had multiple teeth removed and braces dont hurt getting them on its after you get them on is when they hurt a little.

But you get used to them after a while.

honestly, i have no idea because i won't ever need braces.
about the pulling teeth thing, you'll feel a sudden sting for a second and then it will beout. jsut like that. don't worry about it.

btw: how old are you?

Braces don't hurt. The only pain is when they have to be tightened, and that sucks a little.

If you'll be numbed, you shouldn't feel much pain...I didn't.
