They probably don't yet, but eventually it will come back to you. It's better to go explain your side of things now, than to have to try and justify hiding it 20 years from now.

Many factors could come in to play. First, they need to find out there was a fingerprint, and they can easily be smudged away.
You have probably been fingerprinted at some point in your life because most people have. Fingerprint databases are maintained, and they can compare the fingerprint that was lifted from a crime scene to the database containing the fingerprint.
Why were you involved in a murder anyway? If you have a conscious, go turn yourself in instead of wasting tax payer money for police investigative services.

If you have never been fingerprinted before, then there would be nothing to compare it to. However, if this is more than a theorhetical question, being present at murder scenes and running away leads me to believe that you have been fingerprinted or will be before too long.

If you "gots" involved in a murder I would hope your conscience would take over and not your finger print... If you are involved and there is meaning behind why you are asking I would suggest you contact an attorney and make things right regardless if you might get caught or not. remember even the knowledge of a murder it's still a crime to with-hold information .

First i must say, I don't know anything about the law but I do know that it's always better to tell the truth sooner than later. For your sake do it now before who ever murdered that other person starts to think about the fact that your the only person that could finger him and you may be next. I hope you were just yanking our chains and just joking if not you had better keep quit.

If your prints were on record somewhere, they would locate them through AFIS and you would have some heavy duty explaining to do. If you happen on a crime scene, except for giving aid to a living victim, touch nothing (don't contaminate the scene). Stick around--or better, call 911 to report it--that way you won't have to explain why you left.

They would keep it and upload it to a database.
Eventually if you got fingerprinted for some other reason (subsequent arrest or background check), when they run it against the database they'll say "ooh, we were looking for her."

As I recall from one of my class, if you have been arrested before, then your fingerprints would be in the system, and if not, they check other agencies. But like citicop said, if you have never been arrested before, then they won't know you did it, until they catch you later on.

They would have to have something to compare it to. You would not get caught provided you can go your whole life without ever getting fingerprinted for anything.
Good Luck.
PS: "Gots" is not a word.
