I want to lose 40 pounds and it is the hardest thing in the work. I can not stick to any diet more than 2 days and then I want to eat on every thing that I shouldn't. Is there a short cut anyone??

I tried shortcuts for the past 20 years & have finally decided they don't work -- read below my plan may help --- below are a few things I do, I have lost 85 lbs over 5 months, being as I still have over 50lbs to lose & you have 15 lbs some of the suggests may be to hard core

keep an online food diary www.myfooddiary.com is a very popular one, I have been doing the food diary for over 5 months and the shock of the little things you eat is incredible -- making yourself accountable for everything you put in your mouth helps, along with weight tracking you can see trends & work to correct the flaws

breakfast protein powder w/ milk or protein shake
lunch small salad - either cobb, club etc....
dinner protein powder w/ milk or protein shake

the snacks I do are sugar free jello or sugar free pudding ( the jello is actually lower in calories & fat, so try to stick to it for a snack)

2-3 cups of coffee/tea are ok, no pop not even diet pop - lately studies have been showing that artificial sugars are making it hard for our bodies to shed those extra pounds

the fluffy/coffee's add alot of unwanted calories to your daily diet -- cutting those out alone will help tremendously

my absolute no-no’s are NO bread, Nothing with flour (any variety of flour), Nothing carbonated, obviously No candy or junk food of any kind, & No skipping a meal even if it is a very small meal, eating 3 – 4 times a day is very important when reducing intake & trying to loose weight

4+ 16 oz bottles of water (at least) -- drinking lots of water is very important to weight loss

calcium, vitamin C B12 E, multi-vitamin, fiber -------- these supplements are very important as you are cutting back your normal food intake, they will help you keep your energy level up

exercise 45 - 60 minutes a day, or at least 3 times a week

helpful side note --- remove ALL temptation clean your house of all junk food, candy, heavy carb foods - basically anything you should not eat, should not be in your reach -- clean out your office space as well, avoid the office areas which usually contain the fatty/junk foods

yes these are hard things to do, but if you want to meet your goal it will be well worth it

the best website forum for support during weight loss I have found is: www.obesityhelp.com everyone is in the same boat & there with tips and help

NO SHORT CUTS. PROPER NUTRITION, EXERCISE. Pills may curb your appetite, but you still need to rethink why you eat.

· It is important to maintain a good diet so you don't compromise your health. Damage done because of lack of nutrition is not worth a nice body. Some diet damage cannot be fixed.
·
· When you deprive your brain, the brain will take other body cells to convert to the elements that it needs. And the cells it takes are BRAIN cells. OOPS. I don't want to lose brain cells to have thin legs. But I would like to have both.

Also, a quick weight loss is usually a water loss and that loss will come back ASAP. You cannot loose FAT more than 2 to 3 pounds a week. Any more than that and you are loosing water and muscle mass (not good)

AND DON'T GO ON A DIET. DECIDE TO MAKE A LIFE CHANGE TO A HEALTHY LIFE STYLE.

1) fruits and veggies, all you want, organic, raw, vine-ripe if possible. Steamed is OK, sautéed is OK even canned or frozen is OK, but lots of them.
2) limited or no meat.
3) nothing fried
4) no FAST FOOD- is junk, no nutrition, empty calories
5) NO PROCESSED FOOD. if you can't pronounce it don't eat it.
6) nothing white, salt, sugar, mayo, milk, (or at least in moderation.
7) NO DAIRY-dairy is great for baby cows, your body does not even digest it properly. check out www.notmilk.com
8) EXERCISE- and be sure to refresh your body with water and fresh fruit
9) NO PROTEIN SUPPLEMENTS. Muscle is made from water, replace the water. You get enough protein from the food you eat, You get more protein from spinach than the supplements you take and your body does not get toxic on food protein the way it will with supplements. Supplements can really tax you liver.
10) Good supplement would be Omega 3, and Juice Plus+

11) NO CARBONATED DRINKS, or at least limited. They actually dissolve the calcium in your bones.
12) Calories in calories out.

AND DON'T GO NUTS, MODERATION.

As far as I know there are NO magic potions, only gimmicks & alot of BS, to make you think you can sit back & do nothing & the pounds will melt off. A good diet, exercise & a strong will are the only sure fire things to lose weight. Good luck to you!!
