God is perfect. Humans are not. That said, His ways are not our ways, and His Will is looking at the "big picture" of all mankind, so He may allow or even command things that seem injust, unfair, or or illogical to you from your perspective. You also have to factor in that we are living in a sinful fallen world with free will, so many things that happen on this planet are NOT God's Will.
So, to answer your question (sort of) God IS a better being than you or me or any human, but He isn't always "reasonable" to our finite understanding, because He isn't bound by space, time, etc. If God were "reasonable" to us, then that means we could figure Him out, and not above our ability to "reason"--and the God I worship is WAY bigger than that.
This is a corny illustration, but it helps me sometimes when life doesn't seem fair and God's Plan is eluding me. Think of it as a giant tapestry being woven of everyone's lives and all of mankind all working together. It is a beautiful masterpiece, but the front of it with the intricate design is facing Him in heaven. Right now we are only seeing the back side--if you've ever seen the wrong side of a piece of needlework you will understand what I mean--it's sometimes messy and disorganized looking and you don't see the pattern--it's only when you turn it over and look at the front that the picture takes shape. So God is reasonable and perfect from His vantage point of eternity.

You are so right, I am going to star this question. I mean if god was a really good and blah, blah being he would have never left and people could tell them how they really feel about things rather than be reading from an empty emotionless book. Well, even thought the book makes a great coaster and has a lot in common with god both are man made.

It's all relative. If you are a bad person, then God is probably better than you. On the other hand, if you are a very good person, then you may be equal to God in terms of capacity for love and kindness. I know that may sound like heresy to some, but what are they going to do, burn me at the stake? No, all the zealots can do is give this answer the thumbs down. So what.

I guess so because after all, God is God and "god" basically means ruler or some deity that rules something. In addition, we capitalize the G in His name, and we worship Him and He loves us, so I guess it is good to think of God as a better being.
Somewhere in the Bible, however, it states that people are slightly lower than angels, although the real translation is that people are slightly under God. This does NOT IN ANY WAY mean that humans are God, it just shows how close to Himself God made us - we can think, we can have free will, we can socially interact with each other and engage in mental conflicts. We have emotions, we have spirits, and we dream and imagine. No other animals can do these, of course, setting us apart from them and closer to God. We are indeed very close to God in a mental sense.
BUT at the same time we are very apart in that He is immortal and we are not.
SO in conclusion, I think it is best if we just think of God as the supreme deity here and everything - in other words, a better being than you or me. Hey, it's better than burning in Hell.

No, it is not reasonable. If you've ever read just the first five pages of the Bible, you would know that God is a schmuck. Besides that, He's also the guy who created mosquitoes and tapeworms so you know he's definitely a twisted individual!

Surely you jest!
God is a power beyond compare!
Does it mean anything to humans when God is known as the Supreme Being?

One cannot imagine God's righteousness and those speaking ill of God or mocking Him have to face being abandoned by God forever!!

Yes it is reasonable. If you have a deity or even a person who sets the standards then they should be the first to live by them. If they can't then why would anyone else wish to when all they will see is hipocrasy.

I am going to give you an answer you probably arent expecting Bettie ( or maybe coming from me you are lol )
it is logical to expect a physical being who has experienced life , love and all that goes with it ....
to be a more empathetic and wiser being than a deity who hasnt experienced these things
this doesnt make us better than God or God better than us
but we DO have more experiences that can lead to altruism
edit
lol Emory it so does exist

No, God is all powerful. That means he can be worse than you, too. Take for instance most of the genocide he did in the Old Testament. Do you think he did that just for kicks? No, it was because he had to be bad so he could be better at that than the Devil, that way he is best at everything.
