it scares me that there are people in the world who literally believe there were no rainbows before there was a mythical flood. it terrifies me that they are allowed to vote.

zilla, i believe there already is a holiday to commemorate the flood-genocide, but like many holidays, has lost its original meaning.

today, we call it mardi gras.

ahhhh, hedonism in its purest state.

We remember it every time it rains or storms....God provided us with a rainbow in the sky after a storm as a covenant with us... to remind us of His power, the punishment of the wicked and His promise or covenant that He will never send another global flood to destroy the earth. The people in Noah's time had a hundred years to repent and they did not...all they did was scorn and ridicule him.
It must thave been a pretty wicked world for God to only spare one family of eight people....by some estimates, the world population may have been several billion by the time of the flood which was roughly 1600 years after creation.

The global flood which was God's judgment on a sinful world does have a "commemoration", it is the rainbow. Every time you see a rainbow you should be reminded that God will never again destroy the earth and its inhabitants with a global flood.

The fact that Noah and his family believed God and trusted Him for salvation should be a solemn reminder to you that God is not willing that you should perish, but he will not violate your right to choose.

Noah and his family chose life, what do you choose?

lol believe it or not, most of the holidays of christians are copied to rival pagan and/or other religious celebrations

infact, the researchers/scholars believe that the great flood by the bible is copied from an earlier legend/scripture called the gilgamesh...

think how much the pope would spend if there was copyright laws that time considering bible is tha world's most selling book of all time

Because those people killed by the flood were ethnically inferior to Noah, and deserved everything they got. Much like the Jews, the slaves, and the Indians. You are asking for rememberance on behalf of the wrong people, from the wrong people...

Maybe we can build a monument. Of course then the Greeks would have to build one as well as the Romans and all the other ancient cultures that have a flood story in it. (((((Zilla))))))

they were killed in a judgment period...they had 40 years to do the right thing and obey God by boarding the Ark.
They laughed at Noah...and gave him and his family a hard time.
They will not be resurrected.
No need to respect that dead.
