Well, be careful not to shut your heart toward the world!
We might be able to get 100 in school test,
but in real world not 100 % people would like me, nor you.
We all need to learn how to deal with all varieties of people.
There will be always someone who doesn't like you no matter what you do. Don't be bothered that you have someone not agreeing with you.
The specific problem you had, you know, any ignorative and retarded people will think you are ignorant and retarded too, so don't confuse it with real advise. They are childish, and your time will be wasted if you try to defend yourself against their stupid opinion. Right??
(If that's not helping, then) Also no matter what others say, you can "choose" not to feel in vulnerable way!!! Just aware how you feel, then actively "shift" it to certain way you want to feel. It's a little mind trick you can master after few try. And remember, there are many many people around you, who love you and try their best to take care of you -

Sure! This forum gets ugly fast. Of course it pays to read it a little before jumping in. I think the worst burns come to people who just pop on in to tell us all "how it is" and make wild sweeping generalizations. R&S gets plenty of troll action too, so if the question is really uncouth, that is what it looks like and people do not seem to mind tearing those up. I am disappointed how many people will tear up people who are really hurting, though. The responses to the angry querent who had lost a limb were exceptionally harsh and they were already hurting when they came to the category, brutality was uncalled for and I was really disappointed by the responses. Remember - you can always just not answer the question!

it is easy for people to insult others when they don't have to look you in the eye but for every forty there is that one that can make a difference; don't let people intent on abuse stop you ; eventually they get weeded out ; it is a truly empty person who can sling so much hate; know the place that they are coming from isn't a place that you want to be in as they show the cruelty within them; seeds of faith grow in good soil not between rocks; if they had all the answers they wouldn't be protesting so much; they protest b/c deep down within them, there is a seed of doubt that they may be wrong ; if they were so happy, you wouldn't get the answers and insults that they give; the worse they are; the greater the reflection of self loathing ; it is easier to tear someone else up then face themselves in the mirror ; don't let anyone steal your thunder ; ask all the questions that you want ; they can never be filled up they are empty inside; do not use those people as a marker for life.

To an extent. If I try and ask a serious question, I know that most answers will be bigotry. Mostly by Christians, especially when I ask a question ABOUT Christianity that I do not know or understand completly. (Such as, "Read your Bible more" etc.) And sometimes from atheists, usually don't hear much from the other religions out there...But...yeah...^_^

yes. I asked a serious question, and as I expected, i got a few smart-alec answers, but i did get a few good ones, too.
I would never ask something emotional just because there are some truly unkind individuals on here, and I wouldn't air my problems in a public forum.

Yup, I don't ask anything because of all the trolls, people answering just for 2 points, and idiots. It can be really hard, especially under the religion section where serious questions are likely really emotional and close to your heart too.

Well you ARE the one to ask this question out to the public, so you need to be ready to receive the best and worst feedback. And sure, some people may give you the dumbest answers, but there's always someone out there that can really help you out with your question

Even still, if you need help, that's what this site is for. If the people flaming you bother you that much, you can always report them. Personally, on the internet, I really don't care who thinks I'm stupid. I'm the type of guy who will go to walmart and ask an employee what aisle they keep the crack in. How much less does it matter on the internet? Just ask your question if you have one- there'll always be someone who will help you :)

I gets easier with time.
Even Jesus was heart broken when the Pharisee's and the Sadducee's rejected Him.
Don't be afraid to be serious.
I log on to be as much of a help as I am able.
So ,it seems, does the cute guy in the hat.
Blessings!
