No. There is not a lot of heavy industry in Queensland - most industry is agricultural or extractive. The smell of a sugar mill takes a bit of getting used to. Maybe a bit of vehicle pollution in Brisbane, and there is agricultural fertiliser and pesticide runoff doing some damage to the Barrier Reef, but that's about it.
