I just had a strange experience a few days ago. I just got a strong sense that a woman that I dated was trying to communicate with me the day before her birthday. It just seemed as though she was thinking about how much she appreciated all of the effort I made for her birthday the year before. It was a very strong, warm and loving feeling. We did not end on the best of terms...so I won't contact her to find out. It was just such a powerful feeling. I don't have experiences like this...

Had you called, she would have been thinking about you. Those kinds of things is what first caused me to believe in ESP and later to believe in the Universal Subconscious. There is an access through our subconscious to a "common area" where mental processes for everyone are there. This is where all the weird detail in your dreams comes from. This is where two people think of each other at the same moment. This is where people's ideas of past-life-experiences come from. This is where I get answers when I play Trivial Pursuits and the topic is something I know nothing about - when I know I do not know the answer, I get one and it is right - weird, huh? Also it is time-neutral, which is very strange, but for a while I was getting the strangest info (unrequested) about the future of dogs I met...and they were all correct. Could anything be more worthless? Dog futures?
When I find my way over to pork futures, I will make serious money.

This could be one of 2 things.
1 - You could have been tuning in to her - but as you do not wish to contact - you can't prove it either way.
2 - As you mentioned that you did not end on the best of terms, it could be that what you felt was a subconscious issue. The past needing to be resolved & the subconscious momory of the B/d brought these feelings up. These feeling could explain how you feel towards the situation now & hope that she feels towards you.

Yes...we are all deeply connected. I would say that since you have had no contact with her in over a year--and the message was so strong--it was a communication of some kind. Don't discount it....Good luck and follow your heart!

Send her a birthday text message and see where it goes. More than likely it was you feeling those feelings of admiration, but you could just as likely have been picking up on her.

Unless one of us is the woman in question (And I'm pretty sure I'm not), then there's no way we can tell. Except for the fact that no psychic communications are real, of course. There is that.
