I'm not allowed to date for a while but i started in 6th but its kind of hard to hide my girlfriends lol

"dating" like having a boyfriend can happen anytime. But I don't think anything should be serious until at least high school. and casually dating seems to be done more by adults, because in high school there will be too much drama if you go out on actual dates with different people. If it's just hanging out and there will be no "hooking up" (which i think is the most retarded thing "teens" do) then there shouldn't be tooo much trouble. plus if you date a lot of different people you could get a bad rep.

I had my first boyfriend in 7th grade, all we did was kiss on the lips and we dated the whole school year. Then there were other boys I liked and held hands with but the first time my mom let me go on a real date was when I was 16. I had boyfriend before then but she did not know about them.

I started to date in the 8th grade. My husband is the first and last person I dated. We have be together 16 very happy years. And many more to come.♥♥

I started in 8th grade and have had one boyfriend. I'm now a freshman in high school, and we haven't broken up. We've been together for over a year, and are only getting closer. I'm so lucky that my first relationship has turned out so wonderful.

Well, if it's of course fine with your parents, i'd say whenever you find a good guy and are ready to start dating!!! I'm in 7th grade and personally, i don't wanna worry about dating somebody now....i'll probably wait until i'm ready which will probably be in high school or college. Maybe even out of school so i won't be stressed out about my school-work!! lol.

I chose not to date until I was a Senior in High school! It was the best decision I ever made! My first boyfriend is now my Fiance, and I am very happy with the fact that I have no ex's!

I started dating in 8th grade -- I really wish i wouldn't have though. I wish I would've waited until my senior year of high school.
It's nice to be able to be single when you're young. I haven't been single in a super long time.
When you're young, be with your friends. Those are the most important people for you right now.

well, i think that dating is kind of starting to look for a husband. So, if you're doing so, are you gonna start looking for a husband in the 5th grade? no...or you shouldn't really be anyway. just remember...b4 starting to date someone: think about this..."can i really see myself being married with kids to him in 10 years??"...if the answer is no, why bother? nothing will come of it. I was in 7th grade. In grades below 8th typically the relationships are short and don't really mean anything.
