My step-dad is one of the greatest guys I know. I may be an adult now, but he has always treated me like his daughter. He got me a job when I needed one, and has helped me out when I couldn't afford to fix my car, and taken me and my boyfriend on trips. Now he and my mom are taking my boyfriend and I to Tahoe to celibrate his birthday, we don't even have to pay for the room. Now that I can afford it, I want to do something really special for him while we are up there. What can I do for him?

If you are at South Shore take them to Harrahs four star restaurant. Call ahead and tell the restaurant to have a birthday candle after your meal and the staff to sing happy birthday to him.

Your probably going to have think really really hard and make it come from the heart. I wouldn't necessarily do something up there as much as I would do something to make him feel what an incredible part of your life hes been. I know my daughter who is 15 had the hardest part accepting my new husband. Now they are best buddies and the best gift he got I believe was her telling him that he acts more like her dad then her own dad does. Since he has no children that meant alot to him especially because she was the troublemaker from the beginning. Think deep down - what about a watch with an engraving - to my dad or to my other dad?

Maybe take him and your mom out for a nice dinner, paid or by you! Give him a birthday card and write in there how much he means to you and how much you truly appreciate everything he has done for you. He sounds like a great guy who has done a fabulous job with you!

i think u should get up enough money to treat him to a birthday day. (i know that doesn't make sense).
make reservations at a really nice resturaunt then get him like a whole gift bag of his favorite things and buy him a card. u know the whole nine yards. it would be really sweet and if he's the type that likes massages then order him one. i know it sounds expensive but it'll only cost u about 1000 bucks i know it sounds pricy but you're doing it for love

What a nice thought! Anything from the heart will be appreciated, I'm sure.
