ok, so i'm kind of new at this and i'm trying to work with the layers. & i have no idea how to change them. or change the layer that is being displayed on the screen.
can anybody help me?
oh& by the way its 7.0 photoshop.

there are some books written about photoshop. i have one which is called Teach Yourself Adobe Photoshop 7 in 24 Hours written by Carla Rose. It's really informative. you should check it out.

go to windows on the top, and look for layers and if its not allready selected it, u need to select it and a lil window will come out and in the window theres a little botton on the bottom of a little well it looks like a page that has a sticker , (its really small) then u click and u get a new layer. and to change the layer, all the new layers will come out on that window and u can select them to change layers, photoshop is cool =p ..im not so good but im still learning =)... i have the 7.5 but i think its the same. well hope this helps =)

What do you mean by "change the layer." To move layers, just click and drag the layers above another layer to move it to the front of your view. And if you mean layer blending modes by change the layer, they're in the layers palette also.

To activate a layer, just click on it in the Layers allet.
