Well i know it will sting no matter the cercumstance but im curious as to how tolerable it is? anyone have one there.......its gunna be outter forarm above the elbow

I didn't really hurt much for me, just some annoying stinging; felt like a hot scratch and got numb after a while. 3 hours in the chair, not a sweat broken; So I wouldn't worry about it too much. but I also have a meaty forearm. If it's skinny then it might hurt a bit more. But the way I see it is if you can take a punch in the bicep, then the tattoo'll be no problem-o.

Do you mean below the elbow? I have an inner forearm tattoo and it was just extra sting-y compared to my ankle tat. I don't think it will be that bad on the upper forearm, just anywhere close to the bone is gonna hurt. The pain will be tolerable!! Just do it, its about the art not the pain! :)

First -the forearm does not go above the elbow-second -if it is on the forearm it will be very tolerable,just some stinging. If it goes around the elbow it can be very painful as there is no meat there.

I had a tattoo on my inner forearm back in June.
I can honestly say that it did not hurt. It did sting a few times, but I'd say it was relatively painless. Since that is my only tattoo, I can't say how much it would hurt on the other side of the forearm.

The top of the forearm is more sensitive, so I'd say 3 out of 10. I have one on my wrist and it was like 4 out of 10

a tattoo on the forearm is kinda painful, but bearable. I have one on each forearm, and while they did sting, it was more the "heat" during the process that was painful. by heat I mean that it feels like it burns for a little while. here is a good idea for you to feel what it feels like to get a tattoo on your forearm, pinch the skin between your fingernails, that will give you an estimation on what it feels like.

My friend has one. It hurted for her because she hardly has any meat on her forearm. And one of my guy friends has one, it hurted JUST a little for him because he's kinda built. (You know how guys don't wanna admit that it hurts). But if you're kinda meaty on your arm it shouldn't hurt as much.
You see how a girl who gets a tattoo on her butt or her thighs doesn't hurt as much as her upper/lower back? Well...same thing...sorta.
