Resistance Fall of Man?

When you are on fire in online play how do you put yourself out before you die. Like how can you stop yourself from burning to death?

Shake your SIXAXIS controller fast. like up down, left right doesn't matter. also shake your controller when you get tagged (from the gun: bullseye)
lol i got lost when i first played this game too
