My cat has ticks. What is the best product on the market for killing these critters?

Some of the flea medicines from the vet also work for ticks. Check out Advantage or Revolution or one of those.

do not buy anything OTC. a lot of them are very toxic to cats. Frontline Plus works very well on ticks.. but you should get it from a vet..

whatever else you use, don't use Hartz. It's been known to kill cats, and the manufactures know about it.
