please help me understand my x-ray results for my lower back. it says "there is sacralisation of the 5th lumbar vertebra on the right. The disc spaces and alignment of the vertebral bodies appears to be generally preserved. Minimal sclerosis is seen generally at the facet joints suggesting a little OA change here. "

Nothing to be worried about. These are pretty normal changes for people as they age. Most people wind up with a bit of osteoarthritis as they get older. And lots of people have partly sacralized or more L5 (it just means it connects to the sacrum a bit, which is the next lower part of the spine). Your vertebrae are all normally spaced, and have not fractured.
That's it, really nothing too exciting there :)

Lumbar sacralization means that the right aspect of the 5th lumbar vertebra (L5) has become incorporated with the sacrum -- fused with it. It's usually a benign condition that doesn't require surgical repair or treatment of any kind. It can be monitored for changes.

The rest of the report sounds essentially normal. Sclerosis is a form of joint degeneration and, as the report states, it suggests OA, osteoarthritis. Perhaps due to trauma from a sports injury or accident but more likely due to normal wear and tear over a lifetime. There's nothing to worry about in this report.
