hi
i do 50 sit ups in the morning and 50 before i go to bed!
it will take about 2 weeks up to a month to see the results, but you will be able to feel yourself getting more tense! go for it! x

I can't tell you how long it'll take because it varies between people, and the fact that I've never stuck to it long enough haha...
But what I usually do, and I got this from my mom, start out with 50 situps if you're out of shape, then after a week or two start doing 100, then 200.
it is freaking amazing what 200 situps can do for you

go to www.mypyramid.gov to find out exactly how much you should consume nad how much activity you need. when you are watchin TV maybe you should do sit ups or tune into Fit TV. Wake up a little early and put is some stretches or wahtever sport you like. afterschool do a routine that you will stick to. diet wise, stick to a 1,800 calorie diet. use a diet journal to help. record what you ate and it's calories. figure how much you went over and burn that. record the exercises and calories burnt. write in it daily. ask a counselor for school nutrition.
exercise too. i do 50 push ups, sit ups and stretch a lot. i jog atleast 30 minutes a day, i do yoga in my free time and dance sometimes! have fun doing it too! get buds to join
my food-
i eat a bowl of mini wheats that have lots of fiber with an able on the side for breakfast, school i have no extras for lunch, snack is a handful of nuts and dinner i don't over eat.
sometimes thirst is mistooken for hunger. so drink all the time to make sure.
the average person needs 8 glasses a day! ha!

and check some past questions about BMI and overweight/underweight to find out. and check your doctor or gym teacher to make sure dieting and exercising is okay. you cna damage yourself or hurt yourself a lot!

Hey, I might be able to help you out here. I'm a track sprinter (16yr old guy) I need to keep my sixpack because its pretty competitive out there and it helps for the sport. The best way to take care of your abs is to do the whole thing. For track, I do 150 normal crunches, 150 reverse crunches, and 150 oblique crunches, once a day, every day. Hey, and if you don't want a six pack or better, just cut back on the reps once you start to see definition. Good luck to ya and remember to be careful to not hurt yourself, this can be a little tough!

You should try doing 100 sit ups a day, 3-5 times and week and you should see results in 1 month.

Do three sets to failure daily. Abs are the only muscles you should work every day and the only ones you want to bring to failure. Just remember to keep up the dieting and regular exercise because you can work any one body part all you want but that will only firm the muscle there. If you want to see a tight belly you have to lower your over all body fat percentage. Good luck sweat hard!

sit ups will help you tone part of your stomach, but what also helps its doing something called the bicycle manuever. thats where you lay flat on the ground, put your hands behind your head and bring one knee up towards your chest alternating left and right, each time touching the opposite elbow to the opposite knee..i do these alot and it really helps. crunches also seem to work better than sit ups. and cardio will definaltly help, try running and/or jump roping.
