Is it safe to give a 6-month-old cat a flea bath if she just had her first shots and a one-time ear drop treatment for mites?

Are you seeing fleas? If so I would recommend Advantage or Frontline. Another poster mentioned Advantix - please do not use that ever. Advan TIX is for dogs and contains chemicals not intended for cats and it can be fatal.

Also please do not use Palmolive on your kitten unless you want possible skin issues.

It is perfectly safe to give the flea bath. Other options would be much more successful however.

A flea bath is perfectly fine. However may I make a recomendation maybe use a topical treatment such as Frontline or Advantix. It you must give the cat a bath, try Pamolive Dishwaser Detergant. It will remove any live fleas on the cat, then go to the topical. You can start Frontline Plus at 6 weeks.
