I like to show a bit of colour and encourage what I call a 'winter tan' during these darker times, my girls back at the penthouse wouldn't have me any other way!

But enough about my life, what I want to know is, do YOU use tanning facilities during the winter also?

I own a tanning salon so obviously have to keep mine topped up, I don't like fake tan so usually use a bed 2 times a week, 6 minutes a time, with accelerator cream (Ambrosia 360 at the minute), keeps me happy!
I don't believe fake tan works either, we've got a St. Tropez professional tanner that works for us, and even she says it looks fake. Just depends whether you want to look tanned, or orange.

I do a few minutes once/twice a month. Not for the tan, as my skin is quite olivey anyway. But I find it makes me feel happier. I get very depressed in the Winter months expecially when there is no sun for many days. I found out by myself that it cheers me up. I later read that its a suggested therapy if you are a bit of a Winter depressive. I think as long as you don't go deep tanning and laying there for hours and ruining your skin it does an inner thing on your brain and makes you feel happier.

I use a tanning bed about once or twice a month during the winter. It is so nice to escape the cold and just relax in the warmth of the bed for a few minutes!! My mood is much better after tanning!

No i'd rather not risk getting cancer you can get a nice tan with out having to use a sunbed just go to a beauty salon and get a St Torpez tan or spray tan done or buy a fake tanning product like Fake Bake and apply it yourself or get the girls in your penthouse to do it for you, you can even buy moisturizers that have tanners in them so you get a more natural looking tan with out the cancer risk

Heck no! I don't want to increase my risk of skin cancer, or make my skin look leathery, wrinkled, or spotted at a younger age! I want to still look beautiful and be healthy when I'm 30, 40, 50, 60! (If you must look tan, try a sunless tanning lotion...)

Plus, I want to boycott society's perceptions that you have to be tan to be beautiful ... in a society that claims to celebrate diversity, shouldn't we embrace ALL skintones as beautiful? I'm pale and I'm proud of it :)
