ask your caterer where they have done events before, they might have one to recommend.. also some properties (country clubs, etc) allow you to bring in outside catering.. near where I live (NJ) there is a sculpture garden who recently built a ballroom on site..

I ran into the same issue. I am now in the works of signing a contract for the local Fire Department Hall. I would try something like the VFW, Fire Hall, Community Center, some hotels may even allow you to bring your own food, also sometimes churches even have a room for rent.
Congratulations and best of luck!

Start making phone calls to local non denominational churches, Elks Lodge, Knights of Columbus, or any other halls in your area. Most of those will allow outside catering, sometimes they require you to use their bar and bartender.
Here are some sites that may help:

Hi. I agree with what the others have posted. Check in your phone book for places like VFW halls, Knights of Columbus, Lions Club, Women's Club, Elks Lodge, etc. Most places like that allow you to bring in your own caterer.

Your caterer should be able to answer this question. Check the phone book under banquet hall.

Does your City hall have a communtiy room? Maybe a hotel banquet room? You will have to call all of the things in your area that has a large room.

most places that are just "event centers" will let you have your own caterer, as long as it is on their approved list. if you go to a hotel or museum, they usually have their own caterer.

i did mine in my church basement. Also, a local VFW or even the local fire department may have a hall to rent.
