best friends are usually stronger than boyfriends......shes not gonna exile you now or anything....stay her close friend......her bf could last but most likely he wont...and if she actually likes you back which it sounds like....that whole boyfriend thing might go down.....be patient shell come to you.

I really would hold off on hooking up or dating her until she's broken up with her current boyfriend. Take it from experience, you don't want to get involved when there's a 3rd person in the picture who could potentially make things really complicated. Like you said though, she was really happy that you told her so she probably returns your affections! Ask her what she's gonna do and wait it out. You've done your part, now all you can hope for is that she'll break up with him for you. It sure seems like she will, based on what you said.

You told her and you cannot do anything since she has a boyfriend. She has to work it out for herself. She has to make a decision. You do not want to be the cause of her breaking it off with him. She has to do it on her own. Just be her friend for now. If it is too much to be around her with your feelings so out there now, you should try to stay away from her until she can make a decision.
She may dump him to be with you.

Pardon the expression, but you have been dragging your *** on this issue. You were acting like her best friend and not her leading man. Tell her that is what you are, and what you want. Tell her that no one will love her like you do and that you will play second fiddle to no one when it comes to her. Hopefully, it won't be too late.

Now that you made your feelings clear it's up to her to act on them. Just remember it's not her boyfriends fault that you waited to tell her. she must now decide and if she doesn't pick you, your going to have to respect her choice and back off a bit. Good luck I wish you the best.

Wait for the relationship to resolve naturally and then give it a week or two and then pounce like a lion!
Good luck!

What can you do now mate?
You have to wait until something goes wrong in their relationship, for you to take 'the reins', so to speak. It seems she has similar feelings for you too. So it won't be that bad to wait for her, if you really like her.
Good things come to those who wait........
Good Luck.

Well, did she tell you how SHE felt - besides the hug, etc.? If the feelings are mutual, ask her out on a real date.
