Since America is made up of many religious faiths, shouldn't the Government recognize 1 of the holidays above? Shouldn't the holidays rotate? Or, should we do the politically correct thing and recognize the Winter Solstice? I think we should do the politically correct thing, but what do you think?

While we should all respect one's individual religious choices, the government should not control what holiday we celebrate. I am a Christian so it would make no sense for me to celebrate Hanukkah or any other holiday, the same way as it would not make sense for a Jewish person to celebrate Christmas. They are separate holidays for a reason. We should continue to respect one another while celebrating what we believe in personally. I don't want the governent telling me what religion I should celebrate, that is overstepping my rights.

No.

All religions and non religious symbols should be celebrated. Those that are celebrated during the same season should be displayed on their respective dates.

Winter Solstice does not bother me, it is a fact of the seasons, so why not make note of it?

Around the country each and every religion should be celebrated to express our diversity of belief, and yet our commonality in this pluralistic melting pot we call America!

Each Christian denomination should be allowed to express their traditions with every other religious group however. Let us not slight Christianity which is very chic right now in Hollywood, and the wealthy elite of America!

The government shouldn't recognize any religious holidays. Each of us can recognize the holiday of our own choice, and celebrate them with others of like-mind.
