You've probably eaten more bugs in food than you realize. It is inevitable. Bugs are everywhere. I once worked in a Mexican restaurant and had one meal come out with a huge horsefly right in the middle. We called it Spanish Fly. Another time someone found a lady bug in their salad. It happens. Don't wig out. They won't kill you. Yeah, it's gross, but so is having a baby.

Make sure you take pictures before you send the can back. Take pictures of the manufactures code on the can and pictures of the bug in the can. Be sure to document it very well so they can't say that you did not have a bug. As for the bug, you will be o.k. Every food manufacturing plant has an acceptable percentage of those kinds of things that get into food. They will probably send you your money back or free stuff. The food has been cooked (along with the bug), so it probably won't hurt you, but you might get more out of the company if you tell them you are pregnant.

Well, they probably want the bug so they can examine it and determine when it got into the system, or if it is indeed a bug (they can't just trust you untill they see it themselves).
Secondly, I doubt that it will hurt you any. If it was processed with the food then all it will do to you is give you a little extra protien. Try to verify that it came in the can, and didn't fall off the ceiling while you were not looking, other than that, don't worry about it.

I would call the company back, and let them know that this is really causing you great distress. If they refuse to do nothing more, ask to speak with a manager, or a public relations person. Trust me, the last thing that a company wants is to have bad PR regarding a pregnant woman and a bug in her food!
Cheers

I have just had a similiar experience with having a bug in my McDonald's salad and I was totally freaked out (GROSS). I simply took it back and spoke to the manager about being conigzant of how workers are prepping food and storing food. I guess if I had eaten some of the salad I would have been more pissed. I did want that McDonald's to know that they've been put on notice. The manager was very apologetic and asked the staff how could such have happened. Not worth finding a lawyer.

I had a fly in my soda at this sandwich save & I despatched my husband lower back to get me a sparkling drink. the owner took his hand & pushed the fly out. My husband comes lower back & tells me. I requested why he did not tell him to furnish me a sparkling drink & he suggested he instructed him yet he basically suggested to shush it out. So I threw each thing away & left there not in any respect to go back lower back. This guy had a small company in our community mall so he might want to work out me & I puzzled if he ever puzzled why i did not purchase from him anymore. He ultimately retired & closed the position.
