would you realize that his body actually did not go up into heaven as it has been taught from the bible, and thus consider the possibility that perhaps jesus was not god? or would you say anyone who believed that jesus' body actually rose into heaven were taking the bible out of context?

blessed, those same numbers can be attributed to elvis. do you doubt elvis is still alive? people see what they want to see. furthermore, these stories were written decades after jesus' death, mostly by illiterates, who had no other way of passing a story along than by remembering it and telling it. it's rather simple for a story of 1 or 2 delusional people to change to 500 faithful witnessing the ascencion of a man they believed to be god, isn't it.

in the documentary, the lost tomb of jesus, they explain how they found this tomb with these cases that were used to hold the remains of the dead. the tombs, as explained, were for each family. each of the cases in the tomb were labled. not only did they find one of the cases labled with jesus' name. but the others matched up with names of relatives in his immediate family.

if any of you are interested on how they deduced that it the tomb found may very well be the tomb of jesus, you should watch the documentary. it's available on google video. check it out.

If they found his body, then of coarse I would have no faith, but it will not happen.

Interesting question.

If the body of Jesus were discovered, it would mean that everything the bible taught about Jesus is false. Rising from the dead, being God, physically ascending into heaven, etc.

Given the terms, however, such a "discovery" is impossible and unverifiable, so I'm kind of curious what your point is. Oh, and I read your article; this is old news, and no legitimate expert has ever asserted that the person in this tomb and the Jesus described in the NT are the same. This is just a bunch of silly sensationalism.

Suppose you read a news article about a man named John with parents Bob and Mary who lived in Oregon. Then you meet a John with parents Bob and Mary, but he says he has never been to Oregon in his life, and couldn't even afford it if he wanted to. Would you conclude that the news story you had previously read was fabricated, or would it occur to you that it might have been about a different John altogether?

Here's a question; did you notice the only people claiming that the occupant of the tomb is the biblical Jesus are a couple of cinematographers that are about to try to sell a documentary?

Even Jesus' enemies believed that Jesus had risen. Would the religious leaders have given bribes to the soldiers just for making up a story,(while they slept on the job) or did they go there and verify the empty tomb themselves before they gave the bribes? I am sure they had it checked out before covering for the soldiers before the Roman authorities.
Didn't they even have the guard posted BECAUSE they were afraid the resurrection would take place?

As to the so-called finds, these days media can manufacture any story they want, change the pictures the way they want to present it and twist the stories to the way they want to present it.

As Paul said so well, the resurrection of Jesus is the cornerstone of the Christian faith:
"If there is no resurrection of the dead, then not even Christ has been raised.
And if Christ has not been raised, our preaching is useless and so is your faith." 1.Cor. 15:13-14

What If?

What if you could read minds? What if you knew the winning lottery numbers one day early? What if you could live forever? What if you were breathing your last breath right now? What if you had already eaten your last meal? What if you had your conscience for a reason? What if you knew what the reason was? What if it were a beacon - a warning of an impending doom? What if justice were not corrupt, but something true something eternal? What if the standard for life were a perfect Law you already knew? What if in the stillness of a silent moment you knew you had broken that Law?

What if life is really a test, a series of choices, in which only one choice really matters? What if we ignore the inner warning light which pulses when we lie, steal and lust? What if even our hatred is counted as murder? What if pain and pleasure are only shadows of greater sensations to come? What if there is a Heaven? What if there is a Hell? What if there is a just Judge who knows even our thoughts? What if He holds us accountable for every thought, word and deed? What if our idea of justice is only a shadow of something coming - where the prison times are eternal and no bond can be posted once the sentence is passed? What if death is the fine for breaking an eternal Law? What if someone paid that fine for you? What if Jesus Christ is that person? What if He defeated death by rising from the dead? What if you could turn from your sin, put your faith in Him and live? What if He gave you your conscience to point you to Him?

Every second two people die... What if this is your second?

I would laugh, like I have done in the past. There have been numerous times throughout history where they have claimed to find Jesus' body, and their evidence that it is Jesus never holds up. I do not have to feel threatened or worried that some kind of evidence is going to come up that disproves that there is a God or that Jesus is God's Son because I know the truth.

I do not think I would have a problem with the findings of the remains of Jesus. Jesus became the Christ, as we to experience through Him. Christ in you the hope of glory, not Jesus in you the hope of glory. There is a big difference in Jesus as man and Jesus as the Christ. After His Ascension He was able to come and go from one dimension to another like the Angel's. After He redeemed us, could there be a possibility that after His purpose was finished, He could have returned to earth for an earthly life as we have. Even after the death and burial, he appeared to the apostles and they didn't even recognize Him. He even walked through walls. He must have changed His appearance in some manner for His own apostles didn't even recognize Him.
I do not know how they could prove they were Christ's remains, but who knows. With the technology we have and will have there is nothing impossible or so it seems.

i'm going to save this actual uncomplicated. anybody that needs to declare that the tomb of Jesus replaced into stumbled on is now admitting that there replaced right into a Biblical Jesus - ideal? mentioned yet otherwise - in case you elect to declare Jesus's tomb replaced into stumbled on then there ought to have been a Biblical Jesus. you are able to no longer say that Jesus's tomb replaced into chanced on and then interior the subsequent assertion say that Jesus did no longer exist. you are able to no longer have it the two techniques. So congratulation to anybody that decide to argue that Jesus's tomb has been stumbled on - you're actually admitting that there replaced right into a Biblical Jesus. in case you're keen to declare that the Bible is right that there replaced right into a Jesus, and a Joseph, and the Marys (which you assert by using arguing that His grave has been stumbled on) then why might you no longer settle for that something is real? how are you able to logically argue that the Bible is merely sufficient real that Jesus, and Joseph, and the Marys all existed yet then no longer settle for the area that Jesus died to your sins and rose from the ineffective? the respond is you are able to no longer!!!!! the two the Bible is all real or that's all hog wash. Take your %. human beings.

Truly, definitely and with all assurance I will tell you they will never find Jesus' bones because he was risen into heaven. That is the truth. And if they "do" how will the be able to prove that it's Him? Definitely not! Think again all these bones that they have found and they have never said that it's Jesus' bones it's because they themselves know that He was risen and not dead.

you are what is called..doubtful.
there is no faith in sight.
faith is believing in the unseen and KNOW it is TRUTH.
NOW..JESUS was seen by 500 people..after his death.
explain away this?
he was seen for 40 days.after his death
explain away this?

so whatever stupid science guy/lady may do.
their reputation will be scarred for life.
for even thye know..JESUS is alive.
for JEWS and legion of SOLIDERS saw JESUS lived!
and them soldiers did not get KILLED for falling sleep or did not even have a fight, but RAN away..when angel or 2 appeared and the BOULDER MOVED away..which weights 2000 pounds..so no women could had done that..or the 11 aposltes could had done it.without a fight with professional fighters like romans.
so your question..is dumb one.
we got plenty of facts..MR..doubtful.

Even the spiritual world confesses that Jesus Christ is God and that he came to the earth in the flesh. The demons, spirits, and even Satan knew he was God.
