A six-pack CAN be built up quickly.
(There's nothing 'magically' different about abdominal muscles; they work exactly the same way as other muscle tissue.)
Very strong abs DO NOT form a six-pack, so doing lots of abdominal exercise won't help. Massive sets of situps and crunches will make your abs stronger, but without causing the muscles to grow any bigger.
You DO NOT need avery low bodyfat percentage to be able to see a sixpack. If your waist is strong, flexible, and athletic, the muscle segments will be flat and broad. They won't show as separate 'lumps', unless your bodyfat is very low. But all of your other muscles will become just as visible at the same time.
A six-pack is formed when the segments of your vertical ab muscle ('Rectus') get 'bulked up' (hypertrophy). This is just like bulking up any other muscle. You need to do HEAVY work, which exhausts the muscle quickly.
If you can do a reasonable number (between 20 and 50) of situps or crunches in one go (a 'set'), you should start to do them with a weight on your chest (disc weight, bottle of water, bag of potatoes).
Do as many as you can. Don't stop until you have to. The rule for growth is: 'Every Set To Failure'.
As you get stronger, you will be able to do more before stopping. When this happens, you should move the weight, so that the exercise becomes harder. Hold it in front of your face. When you are able to do more crunches and situps like this, hold it above your head.
You CAN work your Rectus Ab hard while you do pullups, but the regular sort won't. To achieve this, you need to be bringing your knees up towards your face while you pull your body up. It's not easy to concentrate on the pullup and the ab work at the same time, so you're better off doing the 'knee lifts' on their own (just hanging with your arms straight).
To increase the load (as you get stronger and can do more knee lifts), you should wear ankle-weights, or hold a bag of potatoes between your knees or feet. This will improve your thigh adductors at the same time.
If you hit your ab exercises hard, you can build an 'eggbox' very quickly. This 'lumpy midriff' will show through a moderate layer of fat (especially while you are moving), but if you are very chubby around the middle it can be difficult to get lumpy enough to show.
CAUTION: a sixpack, and the exercises that produce it, can strain your lower back and lead to crippling lumbar pain later in life. A healthy, flexible, flat midriff is much more useful. You should consider taking up yoga, pilates or alexander technique to protect your 'core' from the damage that having (and getting) a six-pack can cause.

I would go with brisk walking. The 7-11 is around the corner. Once you get there all you need to do is decide... Budweiser, Miller, or maybe an import.

I heard running does the trick including crucnches and sit ups. You must change your eating habits to healthy. Drink plenty of water, eat fruits and vegetables.
