You have the right concept but a wrong word which is most commonly mistakenly written and the correct way to write it is, "Lo estoy aprendiendo ahora, en EL (not LA) invierno"

Great except that invierno is masculine "el invierno".
But it does sound more natural to just omit the article "en invierno"
