If you are a believer in Jesus the Christ, you go straight to Him. Which is in Heaven.

Depending on the state of our souls at the time of death, we will rest or sleep in Christ until the final judgement. Even though our bodies decompose, they will be raised up on the last day or final judgement in a glorified and illuminated state together with our souls. Did you know some Saints whose bodies have been exhumed hundreds of years later, are still in tact and referred to as incorrupt?

your body will rot, but you won't be in it so don't worry you will not be mortal anymore, your spirit will become immortal and be judged before god ( belive it or not i am not religious but i know this it true..well i hope it is ) better than saying " we just rot" YEAH RIGHT all the rubbish you go thru during your life to JUST ROT! this is the hardest part then we will be going to a better place

I really do not think about it. One should live for this world and not for another that may, or may not be there.
You can wonder all you want-------you will never find the answer.........not in this lifetime.

true your body will rot in the ground. But your soul will either go to heaven or hell. if you go to heaven you will have a new sinless body. And like Mark said, Im looking forward to that day.

I believe my body will decompose.
Other than that, as consciousness is a brain function, I believe I will cease to exist.
