For example atheist's (not all) criticize ones past or a flaw they have presently so that they can not be credited for the good they try to bring to people. Can you honstly believe all of your scientist's dont drink or might have a bad past? But you are willing to believe thier theories.

>Why is it when there is a religious speaker most non believers try to find something bad on them?

This isn't true in my experience, at least no more than it is the other way around. Anyway, if it is true, it might just be because religious people, believing something rather ridiculous (that God exists), are more likely to have said absurd things in the past to latch onto than rational atheists are. It's a lot easier to make fun of someone if they themselves have already said something like 'there are no transitional fossils' or 'homosexuality is a choice', which are statements more likely to come from believers than from atheists.

Something to think about, The whole world watches ya when you say your a Christian; people tend to think if you are a Christian you should live clean moral life's and should have nothing to hide. However people forget we are all human and all make mistakes the only difference is we repent and ask for forgiveness. Every one has some thing in there past they are ashamed of.

Horrible analogy. Preachers and religious speakers need to be above reproach Because of the message they preach. Scientist do not who cares if Professor Bill has a bender and a tryst on Friday night as long as he can defend is dissertation.

Hon, That is all they have to bring to the table.. God isn`t finished with them yet. It is important for them to come here. This is your opportunity to plant the seed. God will tend the Garden..

I know It is hard to understand, Hon. But where else will we find the unbeliever, God brings them to us here. We do our work, where we are placed. Nothing is by accident...

It is our job to tell the good news to those who don`t know it. And, you know, if God is at work, so is the devil.

However, I read the end of the book. We win.. Just keep your chin up and remember that the only Jesus, some folks see, is in you.. Let your light shine... {:-)

Peace & God bless from Texas. <><

The non-believers I've run into on here are happy on their high horses... they think they are above us and smarter than us because they don't believe in our "fairy tale." IRONICALLY, they must also think that they are gods themselves and without flaw, therefore able to judge whoever, however they want, before they attempt to know them as a person. Go ahead, give me 1000 thumbs down... I don't even care anymore.

This happens for the same reason that when a NON religious speaker says something that the religious folks don't like, they try to find something that someone else might find offensive to get them to see things their way.
People are kinda nasty when it comes to religion.

Because science does not teach "if you do not follow a moral code set down by an invisible force then there will be hell to pay". Science just gives the facts and lets you live your life as you see fit.

The bible says that we will be tried as gold through fire. Eventually non-believers will see how true Christians are. Just because we're forgiven doesn't make us perfect. If we were all perfect, there would have been no reason for Jesus to come and die on Calvary for us, or for Him to raise from the dead 3 days later.

Because it's fun to call hypocrites on the carpet. Most scientists don't go around claiming sex and drinking are evil.

Don't they do that themselves? Its people that take the highest moral ground and then sit on a white charger that have the furtherest to fall.
