this question is asked alot ima just copy and paste my awnser to these.
try to eat 20% calories from fat of your total calorie intake in a day. Try to also get an equal balance of polyunsaturated, monounsaturated and saturated fat.
-You have to count calories to lose weight. If your burning 1000 calories walking 10 miles, but then that same day eating 3500 calories, you'll never see progress
.. I'd say eatyour BMR calories (you can google a bmr calculator online) a day in numerous small meals.
-6-8 small meals keep your metabolism running all througout the day. So it's far better to eat many meals and small portions
-Drink plenty of water throughout the day.
-Try to make sure you don't eat to many carbs or fat at once.
-unless you really understand nutrition labels try to stay away from proccessed foods and stick with whole foods. Such as instead of eating a tv dinner buy chicken, bake it, buy the veggies and steam them and then have an orange or something natural.
-If your a big fan of meats try eating White meat of chicken and turkey (watch your sodium levels with turkey). Tuna is great if you like it. This will help you get whole protiens but stay clear of the saturated fat that comes with many meats.
-exercise in the morning if possible, your bodys more prone to exercise when you first wake up it's ready to burn calories but later in the day it can take a bit of mental preperation to start a workout. In addition if it's an intense exercise like HIIT your rmr is faster throughout the day.
-If your a light exerciser like walking or very slow jogging then you can exercise as much as you want in the day, but you can choose a hardcore stamina training style like HIIT or long distance jogging then give your body recovery time. A stamina building routine is better in the long run and is more time efficient so you don't spend as much time having to burn calories.
-Also the very moment you wake up eat something with complex carbs in it, such as fiber and whole grains. Protien too (to prevent catabolism), because it kick starts your metabolsm and try to eat fairly soon after any cardio exercise sessions.
When you eat is also important, fats shouldn't be eaten for at least a few hours after exercise or before(don't exercise around when you eat your essential fats), carbs should only be eaten before and within 6 hours after a workout session, protien for the most part in the evening, and before bed.
Healthy weight loss is 2 lbs a week typically it can be done faster though and stilll be healthy but unless you have radical surgery or something don't expect much more than that.
also when you eat less than your bmr your body becomes very catabolic and basically if you starve yourself, your body will go into "starvation mode" and instead of your body burning off stored fat it will horde that fat and get it's energy from the protien in your muscles and your muscles will dissapear and thus you will burn less and less calories everyday due to a slower resting metabolic rate.
Eventually your diet WILL plateu if you do the same thing all the time. To avoid after 6-8 weeks of losing weight, try to take a week off and eat the same number of calories you exert. Then go back to the 6-8 weeks. Remember also the first week or so most of the weight you lose is water weight =/ So don't get discouragesd after the 2nd or 3rd week.
You should lift to tone to prevent muscle loss during dieting and also it promotes the growth of some hormones that can accelerate your fat loss. In addition muscle repair increases your rmr.
Also you could look into ketogenic or lean protien diets, those type of diets can often lose more fat than a typical 50%/30%/20% macronutrient ratio of carbs, protien, fat. However it wouldn't be for optimal health.
I strongly support lean protien diets+ lifting to tone

go to www.mypyramid.gov to find out exactly how much you should consume nad how much activity you need. when you are watchin TV maybe you should do sit ups or tune into Fit TV. Wake up a little early and put is some stretches or wahtever sport you like. afterschool do a routine that you will stick to. diet wise, stick to a 1,800 calorie diet. use a diet journal to help. record what you ate and it's calories. figure how much you went over and burn that. record the exercises and calories burnt. write in it daily. ask a counselor for school nutrition.

Based on what you've got mentioned listed here are a few recommendations: * ALWAYS try to find time for breakfast. It will preserve you complete till lunchtime and can give up the desire for mid morning snacks. Weetabix is superb! * You mentioned you favor tuna.. an notion for dinner is tuna steaks (scrumptious), boiled potatoes or candy potato (alternatively of chips) after which a few veg like carrots and inexperienced beans. * I had essentially the most robust soup the opposite day - do-it-yourself Sweetcorn & Red Pepper. You like either one of the ones matters so discover a recipe for it and feature a move at making your possess. It's scrumptious. You would have it for lunch with a wholemeal bread roll. * When you consider a yearning for chocolate or crisps, have a drink of water, wait quarter-hour then see if you're nonetheless hungry. Usually once we consider we're hungry we are truthfully thirsty. * Start swimming, running or brisk jogging three instances every week. Or for those who wish to activity at residence purchase a health DVD and set apart three nights every week to do it. * Try now not to shop for the junk within the first situation! * July is a while away so you'll be able to without doubt do that. Start off slowly and be useful. Don't bypass foods. Drink tons of water. And preserve your target in brain! xx

I've lost 5 kilos in my first week. It's my 10th day and I have included salad with some protein (eg. egg/ lean chicken) as you suggested. After 4 years of trying, the fat is finally coming off. It truly feels like magic!
Get started today!
