When is a pine tree just a tree & a Christmas tree a religious symbol of one's faith? Is a blow up Frosty the snowman a religious symbol or just a fat snowman with a smirk? Does one candle in 8 windows mean it's for Hanukkah or is it just decoration? Did you just make snow angels on yellow snow or did you just flatten a squirrel underneath?

An Interesting thing happened a couple of year ago in Miami Beach Florida.. A local temple "donated" a Menorah with 7 arms instead of 8 in order to get it passed the city council as a 'secular" symbol in order to have it displayed on city property.. Some half homeless drug out and drunken fundamentalist christian with right radical leanings ( the guy worked for me briefly, i know his quirks) tore it down with much passion. With such zeal that he took so long smashing it to bits the cops had arrived and arrested him..

The local State Atty was pressing hate crime charges against him.. They were probably right in that he was motivated by his religious convictions fueled by drugs and alcohol. But this begs the question:

If they claimed it was just a secular symbol, how can he be guilty of a hate crime? How can the same people who claimed it is just a secular symbol to get it displayed call for hate crime prosecution? it wasn't after all, a religious symbol, right?

I believe the underlying issue is "separation of church and state".

Unbelievers are using that phrase to limit and handicap the Body of Christ, the church...us Christians!!!

This phrase "separation of church and state" is NOT in the constitution. It is a red herring.

It's an excuse to oppose Christianity.

They let any false spiritual fables into schools, but keep out the bible. This is not "separation of church and state". It is state sponsored atheism.

Why? Ask the unbelievers on YA R&S who promote atheism with more evangelistic zeal than we show in service of the Truth!

Unbelief is not a logical position. These promoters of unbelief have no proof of God's non existance.

It is the "religion" of those who hate God, subconsciously, because they are greedy for more...

"More freedom", they tell themselves, and God. Thay's really just more 'licence to sin'...more lust or power...more greed for things...etc.

They're opposing God like immature teens opppose parents, and all other forms of authority, for that matter!
