I am 18 years old, currently single but awhile back i got out of a 1.5 year relationship and before that i got out of a 1 year. When i was with a girl and i had problems i would always go talk to my friends that are girls just cuz they knew what was going on and were easier to talk to than my guy friends, they constantly reminded me that they wish they could find a guy like me and that i am a total sweetheart and great bf and that it is crazy for her (gf at the time) to treat me the way she does. I just dont understand, if i am such a great bf why do my gf's not appreciate it and take advantage of me? Am i not good enough? Were my friends just telling me that to cheer me up or did they mean it do you think? I just want to find a cool girl who wants and will appreciate getting treated the way a gf should, where are you at? Listen...let me just be honest with you. You sound like a great catch...but way too nice guys can get really annoying really fast. The reason they walk all over you is easy...you let them. I guarantee you that if you start sticking up for yourself to these girls...you will get alot more respect. there is nothing sexier than a man who can stick up for his girlfriend...but more importantly himself.

You are still a very young man and I assume the girls were about your age also. We all go through many different realtionships, especially as teenagers, before we find the one person we want to be with forever. It sounds like you are doing nothing wrong because both your relationships actually lasted pretty long for someone as young as you are. The girls you were dating probably just weren't ready to settle down yet to just one guy. Which is perfectly normal at your age. We all have had our hearts broken at one time or another. I know it hurts pretty bad at first but it will get better. Just look at it this way, if the girl does not work out then it was never meant to be. But there is someone out there for you specifically. When one door closes another one opens and most likely holds bigger and better things. So be patient and be yourself. You sound like a kind and caring young man and that is something most women look for in their men. I'm sure your friends weren't just lying to you because you can see in your comments that you are a sweetheart and a loyal boyfriend. So be proud of who you are and be thankful that you can love someone. Your day of true love will come soon enough. In the mean time let yourself grow as a person. Pursue a career. Do some volunteer work. Just keep busy with life and one day out of the blue you will meet your life partner. Good luck to you and be proud that you are who you are.

your chick Friends are probably telling you the truth . You are most likely one of those too nice guys . perfect in every way but just not what girls are ready for yet . we want a bad boy whom we think we can change (not worth trying). So we ignore or worse yet treat the good guys badly. just keep trying and the one will come to you . Until then have your chick friend check out the girls before you date them some times they can pick out the bad ones early on.

If you treat your girlfriend great you are doing absolutly nothing wrong. Sometimes it just takes a girl to have bad experiences with guys before they know when they see a great guy. trust me as you get older girls will apreciate you A LOT more.

It sounds like you're dating girls that aren't very nice. You need to find a nice girl. When you're dating somebody you shouldn't put up with their crap and step up for yourself and maybe they will appreciate that in a guy. Girls like confident guys, but guys who are sweethearts on the inside. You need to know how to balance those two out. It's very attractive when a guy is confident in himself but not to much that he acts like a jerk. I hope this makes sense and is helpful.
