for 3 months i have had a pain in my lower right back that is getting worse. it hurts to touch almost like a bruise but there isnt one. it hurts to move espscially to bend over or stand up and it sometimes send shooting pains down my right leg. HELP

sounds like sciatic pain, suggest you see your doctor.

Could be a piched or pressed nerve in the lower lumbar part of the spine. The symptoms you described are typical for this. As you get older, the nerve bubdles that come out from the vertabrae pass through holes that can get calcified over time.,Movement or constant pressure can cause these symptoms. I had exact symptoms and eventually had L3-L4 vertebrae removed. Presently I just dont have pain anymore. My situation may be the extreme but go see your family doctor.

I concur with the_only.

It may be sciatic. It sounds like you may have a 'trapped nerve' of some origin or even a disc problem.

See a doc, get a scan / X-Ray sorted out to rule out possible options.
