I was unfortunately sexually assaulted in June of this year. I was able to fight him off and call for help before things could get any worse than they already were. I searched through thousands of pictures at the precinct and came up with nothing. I just recently I found his picture and address on a sex offender web site. The police department put out an APB on him but I need to know does that last indefinitely. The APB...How long is it good for??? I want him caught....even if it takes months and years.

Yes...The photo and address was given to the detectives. They were even able to find him in their system as well. The information on the site stated that he just got off of parole in April. His old parole officer will be contacted to get a more recent address. I still can't believe I found his picture on the internet. God is good.

It will remain in effect until an arrest is made.

I'm assuming the photo you found on the website was provided to the investigations division to help them further their case with you.

They should still have one out for the individual. I would keep checking with the department that took your complaint and see if they picked up the individual. If you are positive on the ID then he should have been brought in by now. At the same time, it has been an on-going problem in all states that there has been little or no enforcement of registered sex offenders.
He may have moved and dropped out of sight. I hope for your peace of mind he is caught and you are given justice.
