you can just google your county and courthouse (ex harris county courthouse) it will pull up the website for your county's courthouse. You will need a vaild pic ID, both need to be there to sign the license, the ones in my county are 41 bucks and are not vaild for 72 hours and are good for only 30 days. This varies from county to county so just call them up and ask what you need to get a marriage license.

State laws vary, so call your county courthouse to see what papers, ID, etc., you need and what the cost is.

If you live in Ohio, you buy the license in the county you live in. If you don't live here, you buy your license in the county where you plan on being married. In KY you can buy your license anywhere, whether you're a resident, or not & get married anywhere in the state. See how it differs?

You could get married at the courthouse by a judge. Or you can make other arrangements with a minister/officiant. Sometimes they're actually cheaper.

To find an officiant type into Yahoo your city, state & wedding officiant (no 's' on the end) You will have a few to choose from, usually on the 2nd page. The larger bridal sites seem to get top billing. If you do go to the bridal sites, please visit the site of someone you think you might like. Those bridal sites make vendors & officiants pay for your contact info so you may not hear back from someone you'd hoped.

Good luck!

Look up your local court house or like that girl said who answered this question first. Look it up on line. Call them and ask for all the necessary information. I know when I get married in the State of New Mexico. You both have to be present, bring ids, fill out information, and they will be mailing you the license. :)

Also..fees are different in every state.
